COMING TO PLAYSPORT EAST KILBRIDE

What You’ll Learn

The Five Aspects of Training

At Five Winds, we don’t teach fragments—we teach the whole art:

1. Hand Forms – Square Form for precision, Round Form for flow

2. Weapons – Sabre, Sword, and Spear, with forms and practical use

3. Pushing Hands – Eight styles of solo and partner drills

4. Applications – Martial drills that bring your Tai Chi to life

5. Internal Strength – Nei Gung practices to build breath, power, and resilience

The Five-Step Path

1. Yielding

Learn to go with the flow—not fight it. You’ll redirect force instead of resisting it.

2. Adherence

Stay lightly connected, so you can feel what’s happening and respond in real time.

3. Spontaneity

Move without overthinking. Your body knows what to do—you just need to let it.

4. Softness

Use softness to undo tension—yours and theirs. It’s how Tai Chi wins without force.

5. Pushing Hands

Practice with a partner to put your skills into action—calmly, smoothly, and with control.

The Ready Stance is so named for a reason. Outwardly, it is a stance that looks natural, but inwardly it contains everything. Your ready stance is your fighting stance; your fighting stance is your ready stance."

— Ian Cameron, Five Winds Tai Chi Chuan

「預備式之所以為預備式,有其深意。外觀自然,內含一切。預備式即戰鬥式,戰鬥式即預備式。」

— 伊恩·卡梅隆,五風太極拳
